Critical Care Medicine (I.C.U.)

At Jeewan nursing home & hospital in New Delhi, Critical care medicine is provided by highly-experienced and professional Intensive care physicians, pulmonologists, and nurses who use their unique expertise, ability to interpret important therapeutic information, access to highly-sophisticated equipment, and the services of support personnel to provide the care that leads to best patient outcomes. Patients are usually admitted from the emergency department where they are first given care and stabilized before entering the critical care unit or intensive care unit (ICU). At times certain patients are even admitted directly into the ICU. Once admitted, the continuum of critical care begins at the moment of illness or injury and continues throughout the patient's hospitalization, treatment and subsequent recovery.

CRITICAL CARE WORKING GROUP

Our team consists of ACLS trained nurses who have very good experience in Intensive care. Our intensivists are all ICU specialists and have more than 10 years of ICU experience. We have round the clock Team of Anesthetists that are trained to work in ICU. Mentored by our experienced Internal medicine physicians our Critical Care department is one of the most skilled and we take almost all sort of patients requiring ICU care.

Dr. Tiwari is working as a senior consultant physician with 30 years of experience at Jeewan Nursing Home in Karol Bagh, Delhi. He completed MBBS from Jawahar Lal Nehru Medical College in 1987 and MD – Medicine from Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences, Ranchi in 1991. He is a member of Association of Physicians of India (API).

Formerly worked as Senior Resident in Dept. of Chest & TB, Gian Sagar Medical College& Hospital, Banur, Patiala subsequently as a Senior Resident in Dept. of Pulmonary, Medical ICU & Sleep Medicine, Delhi Heart & Lung Institute, New Delhi. Presently working as Attending Consultant, Department of Pulmonary, Critical Care & Sleep Medicine, JEEWAN HOSPITAL PUSA ROAD, New Delhi, India.She believes in achieving excellence in the field of Respiratory & Critical Care Medicine through my skills, knowledge & offering Optimal care to my patients & committed for Continuous Quality Improvement of ICU Services
